Delilah and Raz had finished their food, and were now lounging in one of the seating areas near the front doors of the castle. She was surprised to see her mother come and sit with them. She would have thought she had gone with Taranis to aid Ruby, but Taranis had said no. He said that no faeries were coming along just because of how many were taken, and he didn't want to risk losing another. He didn't think his daughter would forgive him if any more of her people were kidnapped. Her mother could tell that Taranis also felt responsible since they were coming to his castle to find their mates when they were taken.
