Psych got knocked down to the ground by Kai easily, and he shook dead his chuckling softly at him. "You are not bad Psych, I assume you train with the Kitsune in my old pack?" He nodded, standing up, dusting himself off. "I do actually, one of them said you helped train them."
He looked at Kai. "He trains me at least once a week personally." He saw Kai look at him with surprise, before crossing his arms. "Well, you aren't bad, you just need a bit more tune-up training. You will never be as good as me, but I've been training since I could walk."
He blinked rapidly, looking at Kai with surprise. "I don't envy your parents." Kai shook his head, chuckling again. "Just my father, my mother never had a choice, and was essentially a prisoner in our home."
He heard Kaz's soft voice calling out "Daddy!" for Kai, and he turned to look toward her. He ended up flat on his back wincing, as he looked up at Kai groaning. "Never turn your attention off a fight or match unless it's over."
He watched Kai step back with a slight grin. "We're done for today." Kai walked over to Kaz, who was standing off to the side pouting. "Daddy, Kaden, and Koda keep pulling on my tails!!"
Psych stood up, dusting himself off again quickly, before walking over to Kaz, smiling at her gently as Kai spoke in a soft voice. "I'm sorry Princess, I'll have a talk with them again. Where are they?"
Kaz looked up at Kai, her bottom lip out in full pout. She looked so adorable. "They're in their clubhouse with Rj. The girls aren't allowed in." Her eyes shifted to him, and she smiled at him. "Hello again."
He knelt down holding out his hand when she placed a gloved hand in his, and that is when he noticed she was wearing long-skin-toned lacy gloves. He shook her hand gently. "Aren't these gloves pretty."
Kaz shrugged at him. "They're itchy, but Daddy says I have to wear them." She suddenly leaned into him, whispering gently. "They keep the visions away."
He looked at Kai, who shrugged gently. "It's the only thing we could come up with. We will get you better gloves sweetie. Watch her for me?"
Psych nodded as Kai walked away, surprised he was leaving him alone with her. "Do they pick on you often?" She was watching her father walk away, and looked up at him with a frown nodding. "Everyone picks on me because I'm different. Only Reine wants to be my friend, but sometimes I think she does that because she has too."
He squeezed her hand gently. "I'll be your friend." Her eyes lit up with excitement as her tails separated, and moved on their own. "Really?!" He chuckled, nodding. "Of course."
She was suddenly pulling on his hand, leading him away from the training area. "Will you push me on the swings? Oh, what about the see-saw?!" He followed her, keeping up pace easily. "Whatever you want to do."
Kaz lead him all the way to the playground, and walked to the swing as one of the kids on top of a jungle gym called her a freak. He growled at the little boy, and he shut up instantly.
He gently pushed her on the swing, as she shouted out higher, and he did but made sure it was not too high. She was squealing higher, and he only pushed her slightly higher when she launched herself out of the seat in the air.
Psych took off at full wolf speed to catch her, and she giggled at him as he shook his head. "You are going to be trouble, aren't you?" She nodded her head. "Yup." She popped the p at the end, and he couldn't help but sigh gently, and she had her arms around his neck giving him a hug.
He felt any frustration melt, and he chuckled gently. "You are cute, but I bet you know that?" She replied. "Yup." He heard her name being called as Kai walked over to them. "Kaz!"
She turned her head towards Kai, resting her head against his chest as he made his way over to them. "I talked to both your brothers about picking on you, it shouldn't happen again. How about we leave Psych alone, and go help your Mama."
He couldn't help but smile as she curled up in his arms, shaking her head. "Psych said he was going to play with me. I want to stay with him, Daddy." He heard Kai's phone ringing, and watched him pull his phone out, but it wasn't the one in his hand ringing.
He pulled out another one, holding up a finger. "Be quiet." He answered the phone, and was surprised he didn't even say hello. "Whatever you are calling for, I don't do that business anymore. I suggest you call my brother."
Kai's face took on a look of confusion. "No, I am sorry." He jumped slightly at the growl Kai let out. "No amount of money you give me will change my mind. Try my brother." He watched him hang up the phone, with a sigh as Kaz smiled at him. "My Daddy is the best assassin."
Kai's face softened as he smiled at Kaz. "Thanks Princess." He could tell instantly this little girl had Kai wrapped around her finger, as she gave him the cutest look. "Love you Daddy."
He watched her father shake his head with a chuckle. "You still have to train tomorrow morning, Princess. You are going to be the next Alpha to your pack. You need to be able to protect everyone."
Psych looked down at Kaz as she pouted. "You are too much like your mother, but you need to learn you are the Alpha. No one can push you around. You could easily put your brothers in your place if you wanted. I know you don't like too sweetie, but you are going to have to learn."
He frowned when Kai took Kaz from his arms, and Kai chuckled at him. "Not yet, Beta. You can hang out with us today if you want. Kaz goes where I go."
He couldn't help but chuckle back, and nodded. He at least would still be able to spend more time together. He wanted her to get to know him, and like him. He wondered if he could get her to love him instead of her first mate, but wondered if she had to go through the heartache for a reason.
Her father clearly thought he was the better choice, or he wouldn't have demanded to train him, right? He didn't even mind waiting for her to age as long as he got to see her.
