From the beginning I felt odd, like I was a penguin in the race of robots, only alive being in the pack. It all happened on my 5 birthday. My parents were too cold, even my twin sister was too cold towards me, towards everyone. But showing no emotions in River-stone was normal. My parents were the last couple in the pack who had found their mate, after that no one had found their mate and they all were normal about it. It was my 5th birthday night when I was in deep sleep. I heard whispers, strange whispers in my head, it was familiar with the mind-link but it was eerie. I have never felt fear, never cried before that night, but that night and that voice changed something in me.
