My mate is here

As I’m in the middle of kissing Anna’s neck I get a mind-link from Beta Noah. “Alpha, a hybrid was on sight a few minutes ago. Witch with Demon capabilities and essence. You need to come and scout it out. Near the Motel on 185th.” Great and I was hoping to have a fun night with Anna today. “Roger that Beta.” I get up from my chair and push off Anna from my lap. “Baby? Why’d you stop? I thought I had you to myself tonight.” She says pouting, seductively stroking my cheek. “Raincheck? Next week.” She giggles and then whispers into my ear, “You better get your energy up then.” she says, nipping my ear, and moving her hands all over my chest. “It’s midnight already, let them handle it on their own.” A true Alpha doesn’t just let their pack ‘handle it on their own’.

I swiftly peel her off of me, changing into wolf form. I make it a few blocks before I smell the tastiest thing, I don’t know what it is though. It smells of strawberries, honey, flowers, and sugar. It’s too irresistible… “Alpha Jonah! Over here.” I shake off the smell and make way to my interrupting Beta. “Noah, brother. Tell me what exactly happened. Where’s the hybrid?” I mind-link, as I change back into my human form. He sighs, pointing to a pile of nearby ash. “I cleared out the area, no witnesses to be seen. It’s dark anyway, I doubt anyone saw, besides Omega Ryan. This motel only has 8 rooms check out, it’s unlikely anyone saw. Ryan was scouting the area when the hybrid attacked one of our priest friends.” I narrow my eyes at the pile of ash, nothing left but a ring and the cross necklace, partly melted. It’s kind of hard to see in the dark. “Ryan didn’t get a face, only that the hybrid is a woman around her early twenties, and she smells like coconut and flowers.” Noah slowly adds in. “Which one died.” I say, turning to glare at Noah.

“Smith.” He grunts deeply, keeping eye contact. “Okay, clean up this mess. Assign five Omega’s to the area, and report everything to me. Can’t let the people of Springdale hear of this.” I have never encountered a hybrid before. I only heard of other Alpha’s from other packs running into some, but they’re in hiding. Why is this one suddenly causing trouble? “Yes Alpha.” Noah says, as he gets back to ordering more wolfs around.

I run my hands through my hair, feeling tense muscles in my back and neck. I walk away from the other wolfs, taking a break. Then a rush hits me. The smell of strawberries, honey, flowers, and sugar. “It’s her. Mate.” Whimpers Griffin, my wolf. His phrase echoes in my brain. I thought I would never meet my mate, I’m almost twenty seven, and still single. Until now… I search for her around me. No one. Griffin and I growl, impatient. Both wanting, our mate now.

I catch her scent. Following carelessly, I meet my match, a door. Room 26. I endeavor to peer through the window for her. Stupid god damned blinds. I never thought I would be so mad at a door and blinds. In a split second I hear whining through the door. Then growling and things falling into the floor. “She’s calling for us.” Griffin puffs out. Just as I’m about to knock, I smell vampire, werewolf, human… and witch? The next room over, room 25 the door suddenly bursts open. I react just in time, before he sees me. I take cover behind a nearby truck. The man rushes to Room 26 opening it, only to disappear, locking the door behind him. He’s a witch. The smell just oozes out of him, gross.

Griffin growls with jealousy in the back of my mind.

Three and a half hours pass by and still nothing. But I can smell magic being tossed around in there. I wish I could see what’s happening in there. Griffin is growing more and impatient by the minute. Is my mate okay? God, once I have her, I won’t let her out of my sight nor arms. I’m barely holding onto her scent, trying to connect to her when Beta Noah pulls me out of my… scouting. “Alpha, what are you doing? The rest of us are out hunting that hybrid.”

“Beta, I think I may have found the hybrid. Omega Ryan was wrong it’s a man. I would smell the witch off of him.” I grunt, thinking of him even being near my mate. “What? Where?! Should I get the others on him?” Spits Noah excitedly. “No. He’s in the same motel room as my mate right now.” I suddenly raise my voice without warning. Noah’s face, in shock a little. “Mate? You found your mate? And she’s mating with the hybrid right now?” He lightly blushes. Griffin and I pulse anger at those words.

“I’m going to kill that hybrid with my own claws!” Griffin says, taking over my body. It takes Noah by surprise. “You want me to gather some people up to catch her for you?” He tries to act innocently. “No. I will handle it.” I wave him away, scared. I will get you, mate. It’s fate, destiny.

Another hour passes. It’s almost four in the morning. I’m tired, but the thought of my mate being in danger, fuels me. “She’s awake.” Griffin whines at the back of my mind. I perk up, glaring at the door. As if with my magic touch, it opens and the most alluring woman walks out. In a gray t-shirt, black hooded jacket, and ripped black jeans. Damn. “Mate, MATE, MATE!” Griffin screams in my head. I study her every move. She walks her way to the truck, I’m hiding behind. Unlocking the driver’s door, getting in. The odor of strawberries, honey, flowers, and sugar fill the air around me. I can almost taste it. I quietly hop into the back of truck, the cargo area, making sure she doesn’t see me.

She turns on the heat, and then the radio turns on. As she drives away she hums to the songs, her voice is like angel. I can almost jump on her, burying my head in her neck, just smelling her. “Is she running away from that hybrid?” Griffin whines softly. Is she? God I hope so, that way I can carry her away from all of this. As she makes a turn to a parking lot, we stop. She pulls up her hood pulling her beautiful dark amber hair forward.

I purr when she walks out, observing her every move and her gorgeous body. I follow her from behind, fourteen feet away from her. She goes into a*****e, buying meat. Just meat. She suddenly runs out after paying. “She’s in distress.” Griffin calls out.

I briskly follow her. She runs out the store, turning the corner. Looks like she’s having a panic attack? “Human.” Griffin groans. I take a minute to actually smell her. She smells of human… Is this why Griffin couldn’t connect to her? She’s not a werewolf? But she smells of vampire, wolf, witch, maybe demon. Maybe they were near her, is that why she smells of it? She’s actually a human. How can my mate be human?! I’m supposed to have a wolf mate… The wolves will think I’m not taking this Luna thing seriously. Afterall my mom, who was Luna, mated to a human defying her own mate.

“Mate.” Griffin blurts out, out of my mouth. I puff my chest acting superior. She glances to me. Her green eyes, dark, I could get lost in it. Until she says, “I’m sorry I’m not your ‘mate’. Leave me alone.” my heart almost breaks at her words. She can’t reject me, worst I can’t go home without a Luna. I grab her, as she starts to walk away from me. “You shall not reject me, for I am your mate. And you, you will be my Luna.” I say boldly, my skin tingles of were her back touches my chest. Griffin is purring, and I think I am too. She tries to break from my grasp, damn she’s strong. “L-let me go, your hurting me.” She says, which catches me by surprise. She uses her other hand to reach in her jacket pocket for something. Is she going to try to hurt me? I swiftly take her hands and lift her up over my shoulder. “Who the f**k are you?! Let me go! You’re kidnapping me!” She screams in my ear. I nervously loosen my grip, making sure not to hurt her. “Jonah Stravin, Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack. And you are my Luna.” I say, about to lose my control over my wolf. I take in her scent, which calms me.

“Now be a good little kitten and keep your voice down. There’s been a few rogue sightings nearby. Plus a witch, demon hybrid sighting. I’m guessing that's a few of your friends scent on you?” I say, keeping my cool. I feel her tense up. Griffin is whining crazily. I wonder how she got mixed up in this Supernatural business, she obviously knows about werewolves, when I called her my mate. As I take her back to her truck, she finally starts to talk back. “What do you want with me Jonah?” The way she says my name, is making it very hard to control myself.

“Taking you home to be my Luna.” I say proudly. As I set her down at the bed of her truck. I set my arms at the sides of her, trapping her. “I promise to keep you far away from danger, and to keep you safe my little kitten.” I say, purring between words. “I can’t be your Luna. I have other people to take care of.” She says backing away from me, turning her head away. I gulp, fear of losing my mate. “Is there someone else? If so, give me a chance. We’re meant to be, it’s destiny.” She turns to me, eyes wide at my words. “Yes, I have someone. His name is Shawn. Shawn Richards. We are in love. I will never leave him, Alpha Jonah.” I growl at her gentle but harsh words. Mine, MINE! Griffin is about to take over. She can’t ‘love’ someone else! I try to keep my cool. Last thing I want her to think is that I’m a overprotective jealous Alpha. “What is your name.” I almost bark at her. I see no fear in her eyes. “Tell me. What is your name?!” I demand, using my Alpha voice. “Bella.” She replies, her eyes now a darker green. Her name is Bella, beautiful just like her. “Something is off.” Griffin says in the back of my head.

I shake off Griffin’s words, giving all attention to Bella. “You are coming with me kitten.” I say in my Alpha tone, slipping my hand into her pocket, taking her keys. I spend some time as close as I could get, smelling her intoxicating scent. I wanna just spend hours smelling, mating, and overall being with her. Bella follows me like a lovesick puppy. She reminds me of Beta Noah and my sister Sarah. I grin at the thought of Bella and I living together happily, with many pups running around us. God, I can’t wait to mark her and make her mine, being able to mind-link with her. Waking up to her by my side. I sigh at the thought. Maybe I’ll even change her, so she can live with me forever. Fate is on my side.
