Losing Control

2974 Words
Bella is fighting for control, she’s winning. She’s back, stronger than ever. Our mate, fueling her dominance. I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing. She takes over my body. “Tell me. What is your name?!” Jonah commands. Bella is putty in his hands, for him to shape and mold. His deep but not too deep voice, it’s like music, one that can put you in a deep trance. “Bella.” She replies out of my mouth. I am stiff, unable to move. Bella is controlling me. Intoxicated in Jonah’s scent and his heart filled eyes. He slips his hand into my pocket, taking my keys. “You are coming with me kitten.” Jonah says seductively, that only fires Bella up more. Releasing me, Bella follows him, watching his every move. Like a predator fixes it’s eyes on its prey. He opens the passenger’s door of my car, and Bella hops right in. Jonah comes back seconds later, jumping into the driver’s seat. I stare at him, looking for something there in the space between us. Bella is starting to step back, as if I lost or something. She just wanted me to be within his grasp and to buy more time with her mate. “Our mate.” She replies in my head, fiercely. Right, our mate… I can’t accept him, even if I want to. He’s way too possessive, controlling, and handsome that I would melt in his hands. Plus there’s no point in being with someone, knowing you won’t be there for them when it matters, knowing your end is near. Jonah locks the door, as if insuring I won’t escape him. He turns his head towards me. Locking eyes, his hazel eyes… He leans into me, inches apart. No space between us. I regain focus on my main goal, thoughts, and body. Bella is letting down her guard, giving me enough time to gain control. Before he reaches my lips, I put a hand between us, stopping us from touching. Bella is growling at my sudden movement to stop of what’s meant to be. Aiden was right, Bella is going to get out of hand without her mate, especially if I can’t control her. Putting down my hand, Jonah is pouting at me, his head c****d to the side. “I am not yours.” I say strongly. I hear him slightly growl and whine under his breath. Jonah suddenly tackles me, almost causing me to fall over. His head is buried in my neck, taking deep breaths. I do the same, thinking it won’t hurt, his musky lavender, berries, and chocolate scent has Bella and I going crazy. I feel safe in his arms. For the first time, I don’t want to leave someone or something even if it’s my duty. I don’t want to die, I don’t want to risk my life for the future generations of supernatural. I want to be with Jonah. Did that just come out of my head? Bella has to be messing with me. Do I really want to stay with Jonah? I don’t even know him… “Please don’t leave me. I need you. At least give me a chance. I don’t care about that other guy, as long as I have your heart in the end. I will protect you, care for you.” Jonah is sulking on my shoulder, I didn’t know a Alpha cried; His words seemed genuine, maybe they were? Should I give him a chance? He is my mate after all… I somehow convince myself, without Bella, that I should give him a chance. “Yes.” I say, nuzzling my head into the soft spot of his neck. He deepens the hug, before quickly releasing me. Which takes me by shock, missing his warmth around me. I slide back, away from him. “W-what did you just say?” He acts surprised. I see a tear in his eye. I take his hand, by instinct. “Yes.” I repeat. He eyes my lips, before saying, “Can I take you somewhere?” The corners of my lips perk up, unexpectedly. He returns it, taking the chance. Kissing the back of my hand, until I pull away laughing. “Cut it out. Just drive.” I say with happiness in my heart. I haven’t felt true happiness since Shawn… I feel dirty and guilty just thinking of him now. Bella doesn’t approve, growling under her breath, “Shawn is not our mate.” I frown at the thought. I still love Shawn, yet I care Jonah. But I don’t know him, Shawn was always there for me no matter what, from day one. “You can’t love something, that doesn’t exist; anymore.” Bella refutes back. I ignore her attempt at hurting me. It still hurts though. Jonah roars the car to life, driving me away from the parking lot. Apart of me feels alive, yet feels as if I’m doing something wrong, chasing happiness. “So, are you hungry?” Jonah calmly says, filling the silence between us. “Well you did cause me to drop my brunch, so duh.” I say sharply, making him feel bad. He brings his hand up, rubbing the back of his neck sorely. “Yeah, sorry about that, but you know Werewolfs, and their mates. They go crazy if they don’t get their one true love. Also how do you know about our kind?” He says, nervously laughing. His laugh brings a smile to my heart, but I quickly make it fade. I don’t answer his question, hopefully he will just forget about it. I bring my hand to touch his, which is resting on his leg. “I forgive you.” Smiling, shyly towards the ground. Jonah is making it very hard to keep my emotions in check and the mission at hand. He glances towards my direction, only to return in back to the road. “God, you’re going to get us in a accident.” He says almost laughing. “W-what?!” I say taken by surprise, taking my hand off of his. “The way you’re making my wolf and I go crazy for you. Wanting you so bad. If I could, I would be buried in your neck right now, about to mark you.” Finishing his sentence, I’m still shocked at his words. Shawn never said anything like that to me, I was always the top dog that’s why. “I never said I couldn’t handle it though.” He adds abruptly, reaching over to take my hand, and entangling it in his. As if sparks bubbled up from my skin, of where he touched. Is this what being in love feels like? Right then and there I knew, he had left his mark in my heart and mind, from of which I could never get rid off. Still holding his warm hand, in my cold one, I stare out the window. We take a few turns and make a stop. “We’re here.” Jonah says in a sexy but charming voice. I turn to face him, his eyes searching for something in me. “Where is here?” I spit out, avoiding eye contact. He takes my signal, and lets go of my hand. Suddenly I feel disappointed, losing his touch. Jonah clears his throat, adding a pause of dramatic affect. “My territory, our territory. Only i-if you want it, that is.” He’s cute when he stutters, and when he asks for my permission. I avoid his question, I can feel his wolf, whimpering for me. I only block the connection, which is getting harder to do every time. I can’t show him who I really am, at least not yet. I need to know if I can trust him, mate or no mate. Bella growls at me, for keeping the secret from him, but respects my decision, knowing it’s the right call. Jonah gets out of the car and opens the door for me. He takes my hand and leads me out. He’s so hot when he’s shy. “Tell him.” says Bella. I snap at her to be patient. I don’t know Jonah yet, I can’t trust him. Bella stays silent, focusing on our mate. Jonah guides me to a clearing, away from the road to the secluded area. I take a deep breath, enjoying the scenery. Plus the company. Jonah, lovingly stares at me, stepping closer. My heart is beating very fast. The moment slows down, and it’s just us. I’m speechless, and so is he. He leans forward, brushing my cheek and whispers into my ear. “You look so beautiful right now.” I blush, glad he can’t see my face right now. “I’m really hungry right now. You promised food.” I say, changing the topic. “You’re looking at the food.” Jonah whispers, pulling away from our little embrace. Smiling at me, seeing how much I was blushing at his joke. I almost go in for a kiss, until he says “It’s right behind us.” then I snap out of it. Actually, looking with my eyes and not at Jonah’s. “Oh. Yeah.” Right there was cozy little diner. i***t… I mentally slap myself silly. Jonah takes the lead waltzing in, the waitress immediately recognizes him. “Alpha! Welcome, usual table?” She says, focusing all eyes on Jonah. He nods at her, leading me to a secluded table in the back. Jonah pulls out a chair for me, I quietly thank him, taking my seat across from him. He nervously smiles toward me, glancing all over the restaurant. The waitress comes to take our order, or more like Jonah’s order. She completely ignores me. “Alpha, what would you like?” She is practically shoving her boobs in his face, Jonah politely searches for a way out. He makes eye contact with me, asking for help. “Uhm.” I can’t help but laugh. Yet Bella is screaming at me, “That is our mate right there! You can’t just stand around and let that slut seduce him!” the waitress turns around glaring at me. “What are you laughing at, b***h?” Oh she did not just say that to me. A growl erupted from both Jonah and I’s mouth. I stand up, now eye level with her. “Alpha, when you’re tired of this slut, you know where to find me.” I snap. I’m ready to straight up kill her. Good thing there were only a handful of people here. “Kill her.” Bella was ready for a blood bash, but I on the other hand wanted some fun with this little shitty b***h slut. “You little-” I was right then and there about to go all wolf, when Jonah interrupted, his eyes black. His wolf has taken over. “This is my mate. You dare insult her again and you can take it up with me.” He takes her by the throat, her eyes filled with regret. She’s gasping for air. I have to stop this, before Jonah kills one of his own. I rush to Jonah’s side, touching his forearm. “Jonah, let go of her.” I plead. “No! She dared to insult you, she has to be punished.” He refutes back at me. “Jonah. Please, let go.” He looks into my eyes, taking a deep breath, then lets go of the waitress. “Y-You, I-Sorry Alpha.” She says taking deep breaths, before retreating into the kitchen. Not exactly what I wanted to go down, but I’m pretty pleased with myself. “I’m sorry.” Jonah says, leaping into my arms, burying his head into my neck. “What for?” I say sympathetically. I embrace the hug, rubbing Jonah’s back. “For not standing up to that lady earlier, for her insulting you, for not being a suitable mate. I don’t blame you, if you reject me as your mate.” His voice is muffled, but I can hear what he said. It made me angry that he was blaming himself for all of this. No one can blame him for being Alpha, nor can he stop being so devilishly handsome. “Idiot.” I laugh into his neck. He smells so good. “I love you, Bella.” That, those words. I heard it clearly. H-he loves me? I’m left speechless, unknowing of what to say back. I felt him stiffen, crap I’ve messed everything up haven’t I? He pulls away, blushing. “I’ll order to-go?” Jonah says, walking away to the front, talking to a waiter. Why this? Why now? If it weren’t for Jonah and his protective wolf, I probably would have killed that waitress myself. But I couldn’t risk exposure. I need to stay on the down low, until Vani and Aiden can rescue me. I wait patiently outside the diner. I look at the sun, and it’s already noon. I should have been on my way to Oregon right now. Then out of the blue, I remember the crystal mirror in my pocket. I tap it, sending my location to Vani and Aiden. I can’t stay here, it’s just a dream. In a few minutes, Jonah pops out of the diner, with 2 plastic bags of food. “I got you a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon, and a side of fries.” He says handing me my bag. We walk our way back to the truck, setting our food down at the bed of the truck. I instantly dig into my food, forgetting my manners. Jonah just laughs at me, signalling me to wipe the side of my mouth. “Bel, you got something. Right here.” I blush, immediately wiping my mouth, with my sleeve. What did he just call me? “Bel? No kitten or just Bella?” I tilt my head to the side. I almost forgot I, or Bella used ‘Bella’ as my name instead of Lainey. “Oh no. I’ll still be calling you kitten. But I felt as if I should give you a nickname. You know… Like couples do, right?” He looks to me for approval. He’s obviously never had a real relationship. I smile, shaking my head at him. “Only if I get to call you something.” I was going to leave anyway, mine as well leave it with something sweet, and not sour. “Sure thing, kitten.” Adding emphasis on kitten, before taking a big bite into his burger. “Hmm. How about Jay. Or… Daddy.” I wait for Jonah’s reaction. His eyes widen, almost choking on his food. I fall backwards, laughing at his face. “That’s it, kitten.” I stop laughing, to Jonah tackling me and ticking me all over. “Jay, please. S-Stop.” I stutter my words, laughing in between pauses. “Call me Daddy.” He says mockingly, still tickling me. I finally break, “Okay! Okay! Daddy, please stop.” Jonah stops, staring at me from above. I bite my bottom lip, for what’s coming next. As if it was a signal, Jonah goes in for a kiss. I didn’t even try to stop him. I only deepen it, pulling him closer. I entangle my fingers in his dirty blonde hair. His hands, staying at the sides of my waist. He’s gentle at first, until he hungrily kisses me with all his power. Jonah licks my bottom lip, asking for entrance, until I hear someone clearing their throat, rudely interrupting us. He breaks, away from me, turning to a woman with her hands at her hips. I wipe my mouth, with my sleeve, sitting up glaring at the lady. “Jonah, cheating on me already with another slut? I thought I had you to myself tonight. You promised.” I stare blankly at Jonah, feeling a little hurt. “Anna, you don’t understand.” He starts to say, before I interrupt him. “Maybe I’ll take you up on that offer, of rejection then.” I felt jealousy running through my veins. He’s been with other women before me. “W-what? No, kitten. You misunderstood, Anna is not my girlfriend. She was just a one time thing.” He reaches for my hand, stopping me from getting up to leave. I only shake it off. “He’s all yours, Anna.” Jonah tries to stop me, but Anna stops him, now sitting on his lap kissing him. IS it possible to feel angry, jealousy, pain, and love all at the same time?
