Emily's POV The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the sharp, metallic scent of blood. My heart sank. I sat up slowly, trying to push away the thick fog in my mind, hoping it was just another twisted nightmare. My hand instinctively flew to my wrist, only to find it bare. My bracelet—my lifeline—was gone. I scrambled, throwing off the blanket, my heart pounding so loudly it echoed in my ears.
