"You dare touch her?" Caleb's voice was ice, sharp and deadly.
Damon barely had time to react before Joey appeared beside him, half-shifted and wild. His claws gleamed in the dim light, and his golden eyes burned with unrestrained rage.
"Big mistake," Joey snarled, his voice low and feral.
"W-wait," he stammered, backing away, but it was too late.
Caleb struck first, his fist connecting with Damon’s jaw in a sickening crunch. He howled in pain, but Caleb didn't stop. He grabbed the thug by the collar, slamming him against the wall with enough force to shake the room.
"You think you can lay a hand on her and walk away?" Caleb growled, his voice a dangerous rumble. "You won't live to regret it."
