Chapter 2 - Cosmos Dragnis & Yueshen Lumiere

~14 years ago at the Mermaid Hills Orphanage~

Doranof country, town of Mermado

"Mother! Mother! Someone's sleeping in the cow's barn!"

Mother Susan heard Lily called for her so she immediately run out of the house. When she arrived at the barn she saw an unconscious little girl.

"Lily-chan, is she okay?" Mother Susan asked with a nervous voice.

"I think so mother, she was already here before I got here."

"Okay, call Mr. Hanz so that we can move her into the infirmary." Mother requested.

"Okay mother." Lily answered as she runs fast as possible.

While Lily fetch Mr. Hanz, Mother sense a huge amount of magic coming out from the little unconscious girl. She examined her, all the vital signs are normal yet, she won't wake up despite all the wiggling she did to her.

"Susan-sama, were you looking for me?" Mr. Hanz asked.

"Uhm, yes! Mr. Hanz, can you please bring this little girl to the infirmary?"

"Okay ma'am!"

~at the orphanage infirmary~

After a lot of tests, the doctor wanted to talk to Susan.

"Susan-sama, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yes doctor. Children, can you please get out for a minute. The doctor and I have something to discuss privately." Mother requested.

"Yes mother!" All the children answered.

All the children walked out of the room.

"Susan-sama, do you know her or where she came from?" The doctor asked.

"She only has this letter, a cloth with the Doragono symbol and a handkerchief." She gave it to the doctor.

"Susan-sama, this child is very special, and a princess! What does the message say?"

"Well, it was written in it that the Doragono country has been enduring the wrath of the new King, and that the new king wanted that child to die. So, we have to keep her away from Doragono and from the queen & king. Also, we have to keep everything about her a secret." She explained.

"I pity the Queen, and the child. So all we've got to do is keep her away from everything that are related to Doragono?"

"Yes."

"Then that means we'll change everything about her, including her name. So what's her name?"

" She's Cosmos Dragnis. And one more thing, we can't change her name. It might cause an eruption of her powers. The Doragono country has some sort of rule, they can't and shouldn't change their given name."

"Well, we're not in Doragono. So, what name am I going to input here?"

"Yah, I guess I'll name her then. How bout Hanabi?"

"That sounds nice, so she will be Hanabi Merma then?"

"Yes!"

"Got it. There's one thing I have to tell you about her. She's really dangerous Su, you can't let her stay here. All the childrens might be in danger."

"Lee, You know I can't just abandon her. Can't you do something about her?"

"I'm sorry Su, I can't. You have to decide whether that girl should stay here or not."

"It's okay, she'll stay here. I'll watch her. Besides, doesn't she looked like an angel?" Mother replied while caressing the little girl's hair.

"Well, since it's what you want, then I have no objections."

"Thank you Lee, I mean Dr. Lee Miya-Burgundy." Susan chuckle.

" Oi, stop that will you!"

"So, how was it being a newly wedded wife Mrs. Burgundy?" Susan asked while wiggling her brows.

"Well, it's great, and aside from that, I'm already 3 weeks pregnant!" Dr. Lee exclaimed.

"Wow, that's great! I'm so happy for you Lee".

Susan and Lee hugged when they felt the ground shake, and then they the little girl woke up. Her aura became more and more stronger than before. The name curse was activated and lift up the first seal causing her magical powers overpowering her body, and goes berserk. Everyone in the orphanage was injured, and the Lord of the town together with the 7 Magic principals we're able to stop her after hours of rituals and enchantments. In order to stop her they remove the curse by using her real name, and they weren't able to sealed her magical power. Her rampage stops when she saw the Doragono symbol and collapsed. She was unconscious for weeks.

Years has passed, after that incident everyone in the town would glare at her, especially those who had witnessed her rampaging. Mother Susan told the other children that it was her fault that Cosmos berserk, and that they should accept and befriend with her. Cosmos has no memory of everything that has happened, and it might be due to the rituals and enchantments that was done to her.

Some of the magic principals trained her, especially in controlling her powers but only one principal was able to control her. She became the first and only student of Principal Naomi,the most powerful mage in the Doranof country. She lived her fourteen years with Naomi and trained all years.

Despite the glares and gossips about her being a monster, she was able to lived happily and peacefully in that town, especially in the orphanage.

~14 years ago from the Palace of Doranof~

Doranof country, Capital City

Lord Augustus Lumiere is one of the richest man in the Doragono region. He has a young boy child named Yueshen, and together with him, his wife Theodora. The Lumiere family has been the most dangerous and powerful family ever since the fall of the dragons era, and they are one of the Dragon God's heirs.

They are also the one who take good care of all the heirs of all dragons by making them go to their academy.

Lord Augustus has changed ever since his friend, Lord Galax and his family died. Everyone in the town knew his kindness and everything that happened to him that's why they just ignored his attitude. He became more cold, violent and moody, and yet his son and wife still loves him despite everything he did to them.

~At the park~

"Young lord, please refrain from doing dangerous activities." The butler pleaded.

"Shimon, catch me!" Little Yueshen joyfully requested while falling from the tree.

"Young Lord, you mustn't do that in front of your father or else they might have a heart attack." Shimon said while both of them laugh.

"Shimon, 'Young Lord' isn't my name!" Yueshen pouted.

"B-but..."

"Shimon, you know... You can call me Yueshen. I mean, you must call me Seki! That's am order!"

"Young..., I mean Yueshen, your parents might not allowed that. And you mustn't call me Shimon, I'm older than you!"

"Well, I'll call you big brother then!" Yueshen exclaimed.

After a few minutes Lord Augustus called for Yueshen.

"Papa! I'm here!"

"Yueshen-kun, you've arrived. How was your training?" The Lord asked.

Oh no! That was supposed to be a training! Shimon your such an i***t!

"Uhm, it was always the same Papa. Big brother taught me how to use a sword and do martial arts too."

"Wait... Big brother?" The Lord asked suddenly.

"Big brother Shimon papa."

"Shimon? What... Shimon, what's the meaning of this?" The Lord asked Shimon.

"Well, you see my Lord, Yueshen want me to call him Yueshen, and he wants to call me big brother." Shimon explained.

"Oh well,the fact that your a servant and Yueshen's your master he can do anything he wants, and your age has only a 5 year gap so I guess I'll reconsider that. Well Seki show me how much you've grown. Show me you magic."

Shimon felt a disappointment in his heart, but still he's grateful that his master's wish has been granted.

Yueshen focused his Móshù kèlī (magic particles) and it was a failure. He wasn't able to produce a mass magic.

"Well, you're still young. You have a lot of room for improvement. You may go now." The Lord said with a disappointment seen in his eyes.

Yueshen and Shimon walked out from the Lords chamber. They walked their way to the city.

"Shimon, does Papa hate me now?"

"Yueshen-kun, your father can't hate you, you know that. He's been moody right now because the death anniversary of Lord Galax and his family are coming."

"I know, but..."

"Yueshen-kun, don't worry. You still have me. I won't hate you, even if you don't have a magic, even if your not rich and even if you became cold and even if you forget about me." Shimon assured him.

"Thank you Shimon-nee!"

Yueshen hugged him tightly, when a bunch of armored guys surrounded them.

"Oi wimp! You're the Lord's son aren't you?" The golden armored guy looked at Yueshen.

"What do you want?" Shimon interrupted.

"I wasn't asking you, you pice of crap!" The golden armored guy slapped Shimon, and he was circling in the air.

"Shimon! How dare you do that to him!" Yueshen attack them and was choked by the golden armored guy.

"Yueshen-sama, you know what, I guess I'll be rich if I sold you to some of my guarantor."

*Ugh*" You keep your hands off from Yueshen!" Shimon attack them, and became badly wounded.

Blood runs out from his mouth, making Yueshen in a shock. Shimon became unconscious and Yueshen was enraged at what they did. He unconsciously released his tremendous amount of magic power and has wiped out all the royal guards. He lost control of his powers and destroyed half of the city's building. Lot of people saw him and feared him.

After the incident, he tried to forget everything that has happened. It was a nightmare for him, and yet his father want him to train more and control that power, but he insisted on sealing his power so that he may not be able to hurt anyone again.

He was kicked out of the palace and was sent to one of his father's close friends to train.

A lot of rumors about him being a monster was all over the Capital, he lived with guilt towards the people and hatred towards his father. A cheerful young boy became a gloomy guy.

Years has passed, and now he was able to finish his studies and can control his magical powers, and now his one of the strongest student in their University.
