Lucy POV
A little while after Maddox leaves I decide to go find Chad and let him know we won’t be making it to dinner. I don’t really trust that Maddox will tell him we aren’t coming. I look around for a bit before I finally find him in one of the libraries. “Hey, how’s it going?” I ask as I walk in.
“Oh hey, good but I was just dropping in here to grab something, and I have it,” he holds up a book to show me, “so I’m gonna get going.”
“Wait,” I step slightly in front of him, somethings bothering him and I’m not sure what it is, “you certainly don’t look like you were just about to leave.” I motion to the area he had set up with drinks and some snacks.
“Yeah well, I’m done now so I’ll just see you around.”
“Wait, wait, wait, you’re acting weird. Is something wrong?”
