I grab the clothes in the bag we brought up and set some down in front of Lucy before taking my own and turning around to give her privacy while she changes. It kills me that she doesn’t believe my intentions are true, even if I understand where she’s coming from. I’m going to have to figure out how to convince her that I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and it’s not something that’s just changing because of what Kara did. I know we have to go talk to my father about Proteus right now, but we’re also going to have to have a discussion about Kara. The warriors have continued to guard her but it's not a solution that will last us more than a few days. Especially because we’re going to have to deal with her father and their pack as well.
