Lucy POV
“Chad, what are you doing here?” I ask as I open the door.
“I told you I would come check on you, remember?”
“Oh right, sorry long night. Come on in.” I step back and he comes in and takes a seat on my bed, right where Maddox was just sitting.
“So, how are you holding up with everything that’s happened tonight?”
“It’s been pretty awful, but I think I’m all cried out for now,” I give him a small smile.
“I take it Maddox was here for a bit?”
“He was actually, he just left a few minutes before you got here.”
“And how did that go?”
“It was fine, I don’t really want to talk about it If you don’t mind.”
“Not at all, I just wanted to make sure you were doing okay, and not just after tonight, but after dealing with Maddox.”
