Lucy POV
I leave and I’m actually glad to be out of there. There is so much crap going on right now, I just want to curl up in my bed and sleep, which is exactly where I’m headed when I hear Maddox call my name.
“Yeah,” I say turning around, “did you guys need something else from me?”
“No, I just wanted to make sure you got back to your room safely.”
“What is it you think will happen to me in the time it takes me to walk from your father’s office to my room?”
“You never know,” he says as he shrugs at me and then falls in line to walk beside me.
“Um, Maddox, I thought we just had a conversation about this.”
“I’m not planning to do anything out of line Lucy, I’m just walking you back to your room so you can get a good night sleep.”
