Maddox POV
“Lucy, what are you doing?” I back up not wanting to get too close to her but then I realize I can’t sense her heat.
“I just finished seeing the doctor.”
“What did they say?” I ask, making my way to the other side of the room as she steps inside and closes the door. I’m not feeling as out of control as I was before, but I don’t want to chance anything.
“They gave me a shot.”
“A shot?”
“It’s supposed to stop my heat.”
“Oh huh, who knew there was such a thing?”
“I guess it’s experimental so probably not a lot of people know it’s a thing yet.”
“Experimental?” I growl.
“Yes, but they haven’t witnessed any serious side effects yet, or if they have they were really rare, something like that.”
“Something like that? They must be pretty good side effects to impact a wolf.”
