The next day in the morning ,Linie came to my room to help me take a bath but to her surprise I had already done it myself.
She stood still and I could tell that she was waiting for me to yell at her since she has been late for her work but instead she was surprised since I said nothing about her.
Still studying me,her eyes landed on my hair, she was impressed with the way i had made it in a style she had never seen or imagined.
Breaking the silence in the room , i asked her "good morning cutie?"
She replied that she was fine but I could sense fear in her voice and her heart was beating extremely loud.
Calm down cutie, I said.
She smiled and I asked her to sit down on my bed but she didn't in order not to ruin the design i had made on my bed because she wanted to surprise Jen and Bella as well since they all believed that I couldn't do anything by myself.
Yes I agree they have known me since childhood but that doesn't mean that I know nothing because they had never seen me do anything since I was a kid.
They had never seen me making bed or do anything except cracking up jokes for them whenever I was happy.
I could read her mind that she needed to get out of here so I fixed her with some work.
I simply asked her to find me a pen and paper.
She found them and gave them to me and left.
After a while, I heard someone knocking at my door, it was dad.
I never expected to see his face in the morning like this but of course he had surprised me last night so I had to put up a smile for him.
He talked nicely and causally to me which I was not used to.Here was our conversation;
Dad: Good morning sweetie daughter?
I: Good morning dad.
Dad: how was last night? Did you like the party?
I: of course I really liked it and your gifts as well.
Dad: yes, of course I had to do all those for my obedient darling daughter. Nineteen years back I never valued you, I thought you wouldn't be of any importance to this empire because you are a girl child but I was wrong.
I: maybe he has realized his mistake, I thought. But what has made him change all of a sudden? A lot of questions ran through my mind. I needed to find answers to them But from where or whom? I had to get them from him. I gained my courage to ask him.
"So how am I important for this empire dad?"
Dad: your marriage will be of great importance to us.
I: how dad?
Dad: I received a marriage proposal from the Miti kingdom,the second price wants your hand in marriage and very soon we will get all the weapons we need and in fact it is the strongest kingdom I have ever seen. So imagine having them to our side.
I saw tears rolling down my cheeks.
I didn't want dad to see me cry so I got up and made an excuse that I wanted some drinking water in order to get away from there.
I didn't want cold water but I had to drink it remember even in the morning.
He kept seated waiting for me as if drinking cold water in this morning was not enough.
I had to do something but what?
After that I told him I was going to the washroom so that he can get out of my room.
I left and went to the washroom, I stayed near the door to notice my dad's footsteps when moving out of the room.
He did leave. I cried a lot and fell asleep but the door was locked from inside so no one csmc to wake me up and since I had had a sleepless night, I slept up to midday and lunch was already been served.
I was really hungry so I ran towards the dining room following the sweet smile from the meals.
Opening the door, my eyes met with my mom's and I could see that she had been crying as well, fear was on her face and she was afraid that I had done something terrible to myself but she got relieved after seeing me safe and sound though I looked unhappy.
" Are you alright?"mom asked.
I just nodded.
