Danton considered Tarkyn for several long seconds before eventually replying, “No. I must admit I am agog with curiosity about this complicated past of ours, but I can see that, for some reason, it matters to you to have this time where the past has no hold on us. And once I know about it again, there will be no going back, will there?”
“No. Although I am hoping that some of what we gain here today will carry forward into the future.”
Danton shook his head, “You are too obscure for me. I will give you until we break for lunch. Until then, you can teach me all about our magic. Agreed?”
