Okay, that came out a little harsher than intended, and I regretted it immediately, but I didn't say anything else. Instead, I hastened my footsteps up the stairs.
Inside my room, I undressed, took a warm bath, and surprisingly, sleep came.
I freely gave myself to it, allowing myself to forget my current situation, even for a moment. When I wake up, I'll deal with reality, but for now, I choose to embrace sleep.
