I walk into the living room and find her giggling like a schoolgirl while talking to Luke, he has tears rolling down her face from laughing so hard. A sight I haven’t seen since my Dad passed away. As I approach them his eyes land on me and a wicked smile creeps onto those beautiful lips of his. He must’ve told her I was in the room because she excitedly turned to look at me and smile. It’s only been a few hours and I missed her like crazy.
“Mama,” I say with tears in my eyes, I pull her into my arms and I just stand there hugging her locked in the moment. We just stand there and I notice Luke and his goons slowly walking out of the room to give us privacy.
