Dillon left Ella sleeping the next morning. He didn’t creep, but he used his soldier training to leave his bedroom without detection. After a quick shower, he padded to the kitchen, his mind stuck on Ella. He hadn’t expected this, hadn’t planned it at all, but there was something about Ella that challenged him. Made him forget his good intentions. Even though they were new acquaintances, he’d guessed she didn’t do casual. The local gossip would’ve reached his mother.
