        The first thing I noticed was that I’d never seen him before. The second thing I noticed was that he wasn’t trying to take advantage of me, he was trying to kill me.         His face was pale and thin, eyes wide with unadulterated loathing. His mouth was slightly open, and he was saying something, but my ears were ringing too much from the lack of air and the pressure of his weight to hear anything. I had to get out of his hold or I was dead meat.         I allowed myself a second to calm my mind down. Panic and pointless struggle were just going to exhaust my strength faster - if he didn’t break my neck before that.
