Chapter 29

434 Words

Tessa Cole pretty much left me standing next to the elevator with Elijah. We both don't know what to do now. Embarrassed by the silence that prevails, I look for an excuse to disappear. However, I can't get around Elijah. He wears, as usual, a shabby pair of trousers, as well as a pair of blue Air Max and a wide grey T-shirt. The clothes are completely different from the one he wore in the restaurant. Without another word, I detach my gaze from his fuzzy, dark hair and make an effort to make my way back to my room. But first he interrupts my plans: "Who was it?" The bad mood he seems to be in is reflected in his voice. "I don't know what that means to you," I reply, trying to sound as bored as possible. But why he wants to know that, I'm more interested in this moment than I thought.
