Chapter 9
“It’s about time.” Colt harrumphed when they walked in the door.
“Oh, yeah, right. You’ve been waiting all of one minute. We just discharged you, angel.” The nurse from the night before winked at Dean. “This guy is not a morning person.”
She laughed as Colt grumbled something about the nurse being annoying all night and keeping him up.
An attractive doctor came in the room and smiled at Coop and Dean. “You must be Coop?” The doctor shook Coop’s hand, Coop looking pleased his uncle mentioned him. “You must be Dean.” He shook Dean’s hand as well. “Colt here told me you two were springing him out, whether or not I discharged him.” He quirked an eyebrow, and both Coop and Dean glared at Colt. “I’m kidding.
