27 Aug. 75 G. Darl, I’m sorry I haven’t written in a while. I’ve been so flat out studying. The more I go out on the job, the more I realise I don’t know. I’m working hard so I’ll be good enough to get a decent job when I get out. I’ve already got the fact I’m a crim working against me, so I have to show any potential boss that I’m too valuable for their company not to have. I’ve got to be better than everyone else. I have been thinking of you, though. I have to see you one more time before your parole hearing. Lanky said he can fake another migraine—after I promised him two packets of fags and my biscuits. What about next Tuesday at the same time? 9:30? Miss you heaps. J.
