I swallowed hard as I stared at him.
All my anger disappeared, probably because I had vented it all out on him. It did not solve anything but the burn in my throat was gone and all that was left was the curiosity to also know why I chose to save Tristan.
I wanted to believe it was because I wanted to be the only one to hurt the Lycans. Yet my mind refused to accept it. It was almost as if there was another reason deep within me which I was yet to understand.
"Say something, Althea. Why did you do it?" He asked again.
His green gaze bored into mine and I tried to break away but he would not release me. He was holding me captive.
"You can't find an answer, can you?" He asked before grinning.
