She toyed with her necklace. It was something she did when she was thinking. Correction something she did when she was puzzling something out. She wanted to understand why she wanted to give in to him. Why him calling her a good girl, meant so much to her. Why was it so hot to hear him tell her what to do? Why was it that sensations some would call painful made her so wet. She abhorred the idea of hurting anyone, and the idea of someone actually being injured at the hands of a lover, or being treated as a child in a relationship was repugnant to her. So why was it that she felt safest with him, in this fashion? The one who came before him was in power, had power over her, controlled everything. He hurt her in the end. Not just physically, although she had scars to prove that also happened. It wasn’t being hit that hurt her the most. It was that he actually came to believe she was less than him, property, and that he had some right to “punish her” or lecture her. He took away all her choices.
Somehow, when Parker was around it was different. She was safe again. He was strong enough to hurt her, and yet somehow she knew he wouldn’t. He wanted to protect her, and she needed that. She needed to feel in the moment, and sexually, that meant she needed more intensity. She needed to feel adored and safe. He gave her that, and he reached her, brought out what was inside her, and he kept her safe all the while. He held her when it became too much, and held her until she was back in control of herself again. He took her to the places where she hurt, and the places she could feel and drown in the sensations and emotions that dwelled so deep within her. He took her there, and made her feel OK through all of that. She realized how much she had missed that. He showed her that her weaknesses and her emotions and her oceans and storms within were just as beautiful, and just as safe with him there.
