Ryker's POV
I was out of the cell, my heart threatening to explode as it beat hard in my ribcage. It wasn't only because of the disrespect I had felt from my mate but because of the total rejection. Point black rejection from her.
My wolf whined but I tried to soothe him which wasn't helping a bit. He was like a raging dog, wanting to have a go at the last piece of bone but I wasn't going to lose control, not now, not ever.
A sigh escaped my lips.
