While Aiden was defending me in the center of the hall, my head began to spin so hard and my eyes began to turn violently. I thought I was going to faint immediately because my body felt like it was no longer mine. My chest ached badly. It felt like a stone was being used to drag across my heart and above all, my throat was dry. The pain I had felt in my throat was too severe. I was dying of thirst and ache.
I tried to hold myself and stay strong, but I could no longer bear it. I breathed my last in sharp and heavy gasps and collapsed on the ground. The last thing I remember was King Eric’s face as he was commanding the guards to release me before everywhere turned dark.
