“You’re welcome honey…” she said warmly, wrapping her arms tightly around me. The hug was so firm I could barely breathe.
“Let her go, Ivy!” Aiden snapped, his voice sharp.
“Geez… Can’t you see she’s gasping for air?” I almost laughed at his overprotective tone.
“I’m sorry…” Ivy said quickly, stepping back, tucking her hair behind her ears. A soft smile formed on her lips.
