The moment Cassandra’s voice caught the attention of everyone, my body tensed up.
“Mind your words Cassandra.” I warned, my tone firm.. I wasn’t going to let her belittle me, especially not in front of all of these people watching. My toes had been stepped on enough times in my life, I knew that if I let her get away with this, she’d only get bolder and do worse.
Her lips curled into a mocking smile, the kind that could make anyone’s body vibrate.
“This place wasn’t made for whores and bastards like you, people who don’t even know who their parents are.”
