Rose’s Pov
“Oh my goodness.” I gasped, my hands flying to my mouth to cover it.
Aiden and I rushed closer to the man on the ground and my eyes widened in surprise because of what I saw. There were a lot of fresh wounds in his body and some of them were still bleeding. I could perceive the metallic and sharp smell of blood in the air. Blood kept gushing out of his body like it couldn’t stop. He looked completely lifeless.
“I think he was attacked. Maybe by rogues.” Aiden let out in a low and serious voice. He dropped to his knees beside the man, lowered his back, and placed his ears against his chest to check if he was still alive.
I just stood there, watching and waiting for what the outcome would be. Seconds felt like forever. My hands kept shaking, clearly in anxiety.
