I took a deep breath and made my way downstairs, heading toward the dining room. My stomach had been grumbling since I got out of the bath, and now the delicious smells coming from the dining hall were only making it worse. The aroma of the roasted chicken, creamy pasta, and spiced vegetables filled the air, gripping my nose and making me to salivate. I hadn’t eaten anything all day, and at that moment, I felt like I could finish every single dish on the table.
As I entered the dining area, the atmosphere was warm and lively. Ivy was the first to notice me. She sat beside Fred, her mate, but immediately she saw me, her attention shifted.
