Rose's POV
My eyes slowly fluttered open, and I found myself laying on the cold and damp ground. I tried to remember where I was and how I got here, for a while. My head was quite heavy and my shoulder had a dull pain. I blinked my eyes and scanned the room, then reality dawned on me that I was in the dungeon.
I could perceive old blood, wet soil and rust in the thick air. A torchlight was flickering somewhere close to the entrance in the dark room. The way shadows reflected on the walls made the place look even scarier.
I slowly sat up, my body was weak but my mind was fully alert. The worn out prison clothes were hanging freely on my body, it felt like I wasn’t even wearing any clothes at all. They were rough and scratchy against my skin. I had to drag the clothes tighter around my
