Eva’s Pov
As Cassandra climbed on the altar, my heart tightened. Everything had been perfectly arranged and the hall was sparkling. The guests had already gathered and the trumpets began to blow, announcing that she had arrived. But worry ran down my back as I scanned the room. Aiden still wasn’t here. Not a single hint of him. And the murmurs in the hall were getting louder and annoying.
I had already mind linked the guards to go fetch Aiden and they were already on it. Even if, that didn't stop the fear that was rising in my chest. Heaven knows why he wasn’t here yet. Why was he late? The murmurs began to spread more like fire, making my throat get tight.
Then I heard someone mumble from the back of the hall. “Where’s the Prince?”
