I decided to take a stroll that afternoon. It had been days since I arrived at the Darkmoon Pack, yet I hadn’t really taken the time to explore it. I thought of asking Ivy to join me, but she had gone to visit her family, so I was left on my own.
Honestly, I didn’t know my way around here. Everything still felt new, unfamiliar, and a little overwhelming. Back in the Blackmoon Pack, even though I hated a lot of things there, at least I knew my surroundings. I could walk to the market whenever I wanted, even if it was just to breathe fresh air and look at the things I couldn’t afford. It was a small comfort, but it was something.
