Winter mornings were Elle's idea of hell. She rose at 6am to shower, the sky still as dark as night, her eyes swollen from little sleep. The night had been spent tossing and turning as she thought about how she'd accepted Dean's offer. When they'd first met, he said he hired her simply because he couldn't trust women not to be after his money. What if he thought that was all she wanted from him? She'd agreed all too quickly to stay at one of his apartments.
