NEW FRIENDS

Weeks went by so fast and before I new it two months had passed since I enrolled at St. James High school, and honestly I had not made any friends.

I am a bit of an introvert when I meet new people so it's kind of hard to initiate a conversation

in the first weeks I would ways sit by myself during break and lunch time.

Jess noticed me always being a lone and one day she invited me to join her group for lunch, I didn't want to go, the thought of not getting along with her friends at the back of my mind.

it was Friday a sports day and we wear blue track suits with a white golf shirt and white Snickers

the day was packed with classes and before we knew it, it was lunch time.

"hey girls come on let's go to the cafeteria I am starving"

I look up and it is Jess's friends, she had a group of four friends, three girls and one boy.

the one who just spoke is nana

Nana is very pretty, light skinned, beautiful dark freckles on her chicks, brown curly hair. and then there is Abigail she's my favorite among them she is quiet mostly, long black hair, tall just like Jess,

they kind of look like twins

Then there is the only boy in the group Josh, he seemed out of place the first time I saw him hanging out with girls,

until I got to know that he and grace are twins

Identical twins, well except one Is a boy the other a girl, they have brown skin with big eyes, medium height, short hair

Grace has a really good figure with wide hips and Josh is rather handsome. I noticed a lot of girls in class have a crush on him.

Me and Jess stood up and we started going to the cafeteria, josh came from behind me and hocked his hand on my shoulder.

"hey lily, why are You always quiet" he said

"do you not like hanging out with us"

before he could finish grace hit him on the head

"Josh can you shut up already, Lily don't mind him he can be so stupid some times"

"no I don't mind, I am sorry if I am not fun" I said while looking down.

Josh I a very straightforward person he says whatever comes to mind, while grace thinks before she says anything I guess that's why they are twins at least someone as to stop the other.

it's been a few weeks now since I started spending lunch time with Jess and her friends and honestly it had been okay

we got the cafeteria, got the food and went to sit on the usual table, the cafeteria is not very big but it is mostly open with long bar windows, it kinda makes the place look big

"Lily can I sit next to you, josh said and everyone looked at him and I could feel their eyes drifting towards me waiting for my response

" I think I am okay sitting here josh" I replied

the way we sit has always been the same, three people on one side three people on the other.

Jess sat with grace and Josh on one side while me, Abigail and nana say on the other.

not that I care where I sit but one thing I have noticed ever since I joined the group is that somethings should not be touched it's like an unspoken rule, the five of them have known each other since first grade and are pretty much used to each other on the other hand I am just a girl they felt bad for and let me join the group.

"come on guys why is everyone looking at me as if I just ate your lunch what's wrong with me sitting with lily" josh Insisted

"actually I like siting next to Abigail" I jumped in

"okay seems like you don't want to sit next to me " Josh said while looking at me

"Enough guys you all need to chill out we came to eat let's not argue about who sits where or with who okay" Jess said

and everyone listened as if she was the wisest person in the world.

" actually there is nothing wrong with lily sitting next to Josh" she added

the moment she said that everyone looked at her with wide eyes

the thing is ever since the five of them started eating together jess and Josh have always been sitting together, I know this because Abigail told me about it

Actually if i was not friends with them I would think Jess has a crush on josh, but it is unlikely because Josh fools around with a lot of girls and Jess is never upset about it.
