Hannah's questions left Cameron and Kendrick awkward, unsure of how to respond.
"Ms. Smith, please don't be mad. Mr. Griffin was just joking. It's lunchtime now, so we can discuss the issues with the investors." Kendrick tried to smooth things over.
Hannah nodded coldly. She knew whether it was a joke or not, she didn't want to prolong the awkward situation.
Harvey picked up on an important detail from Kendrick's words. "The company has issues with investors? Ms. Smith has just found out about this. Kendrick, how did you know?"
"What?" Kendrick had let it slip and hadn't noticed until Harvey questioned him. It caused him to panic a bit. He tried to stay calm and retorted loudly, "You're just a lowly employee. How dare you to question me?"
