Edward returned home that afternoon with rage, He barged opened the door, alerting his mother, who was in the garden. He tossed his hat on the floor carelessly, and hurried to his mother as tears filled his eyes. His mother saw the expression of her dear son, and immediately left what she was doing, running to his aid. She embraced him and he cried on his mother's shoulders. " Oh my dear, Prince. What's the problem? Did your friends say anything mean to you again? " she asked with a lot of concern. Still in his mother's arm sobbing, he replied " N-no, mother. I-it's not t- " he sobbed even harder, unable to complete his sentence. Seeing this, Edward's mother was devastated. " It's okay, my Prince. You don't have to tell me now. " Edward, still in his mother's arm, nodded at her consultation. Few hours passed and his sobbing went along with it. His mother sat on the sofa, with him laying next to her, with his head on her laps. His mother's fingers dig in his hair, as she tried calming him down. " I can't believe she rejected me after everything I've done for her. " he lamented. " Whenever her father is in need of assistance, I offered to help. Whenever her sister wonders about, I bring her back safely. Whenever she's in trouble, I always rushed to her aid. I don't know why she rejected me mother. I'm everything to her. I'm her idle type. I'm tall, handsome, smart, caring and loving. I'm white, I can change the colour of her future children, from that dirty dark skin, to a clean vanilla. I have everything she hope her future husband would have! I have a wonderful mother, a house! I mean, I even work in the palace, for Christ sake! I don't understand why she'll rejected me. I'm perfect for her! I am the PERFECT man for her! " he cried. Still rubbing his head, his mother said " I know, my Prince. But some girls don't just like anything good. Don't worry, my mighty warrior, forget about that dirt, Mommy will help you find a good and bett-" " NO! No no no no no! " he exclaimed, jumping off her laps. " I don't want some cheap peasant girl, I want her! And her alone! " Standing up, she cupped his face with her palms and promised " Okay, my Prince. If it's her you want, then I'll get her for you. " " How, Mom? She said she doesn't want me." he cried hopelessly. Grinning from ear to ear, his mother took his arm and brought him to the window. She lifted his face and made him set his eyes upon a dark skinned girl by the window of a little mansion, opposite theirs. " Look at her. Is that really who you want, my Prince? " his mother asked with a sinister smile. " Yes! " he answered with excitement. " Then you'll get her, only if you follow every single step of my plan. " she grinned evilly to her son, who couldn't set his eyes off the girl. Lust filled his eyes as different images of them doing something immoral, started popping in his head. Unaware of the evil plot against her, Tiana, watched her little sister change dresses, with warmth and love in her eyes. ******* Doors shot. Candles and fire places were quenched. Jeweleries were worn. Gowns swept the floor. Carriages made of fine stones, wheeled. Horses hooves stumped the floor. The streets were quieter than a grave. The half moon sat graciously in the sky, giving light to the night. Silence danced about every corner of every town. No one could be spotted in the houses or anywhere. All the town folks were at the castle, celebrating the return of their beloved Prince or should they say, half. A white carriage decorated with precious stones parked it's way at the entrance of the ballroom. The servants behind the carriage, jumped down with a stool in one of them hands. The servant dropped the stool in front of the carriage door, and the other opened it. Not long after, a lady dressed in a glamorous red gown, gracefully stepped out, like a princess from a fairytale book. Her chin was held as high as her blossom. Her face was painted with light colours that brought out her features. Her blonde hair was let down, bouncing as her glass heels took each step with arrogance and elegance. Her white gloved hands were placed in front as she walked into the ballroom and almost immediately, a loud voice echoed " Lady Tabitha, of house Thel, daughter of Duke Ronald and Duchess Lillian of Anthia, and the sister to Lord Noel. " After the introduction, the whole room turn silent, as the guest feasts their eyes on the blonde lady. The man ferocious eyes lingered on her blossom, while the women vicious eyes sized her from head to toe. Already used to stares, the young lady, made her was towards the queen and bowed deeply. The Queen looked at her for few seconds before smiling upon her. Gasps and whispered filled the room as, Tabitha left Her Majesty's side with more pride than before. In the custom of the kingdom of Nailwood, anyone the crown smiled upon, is a person either related to them, or a close friend. So when the people saw The Crown smiled upon the young girl, they knew she wasn't an ordinary rich girl.
