Chapter 22
Noel left his father's study with anger written all over his face. Tabitha, who pretended to be asleep, so her father could leave her be, rushed to Noel, when she saw him coming out of their father's study. "Brother?" she whispered, but Noel didn't bat an eye on her. Tabitha was pained and she rushed to his side. "Brother!" she tried keeping up with his pace, but he was much faster than her. She grabbed him by the arm and pulled, but he was much stronger than her. "I'm sorry" she cried, but he just kept on walking. Her feet caught between each other, and she tripped, falling face first. "Ouch" she whined, and looked up to only seeing Noel's profile walking further away from her. Her heart hurt, and she started crying. She stood up, enduring the pain from her twisted ankle, and leaped
