It turned out that Chase’s grandfather, Victor Williams, had his very own butler. A leanly built man with gray hair greeted us at the front door and ushered us in. I understood that it was normal for wealthy households to have butlers, but the logical side of my brain and the emotional part of it refused to see eye to eye.
