“I can explain everything,” Velma said with her head hung low.
It was another Monday and Chase and I had just gotten to the office. What neither of us expected to see was Velma waiting for us in the middle of the room.
While the weekend had been an eventful one, everything had simmered down by Sunday and I at least intended for everything to go back to normal or as normal as it was allowed to get, but from the way Velma stood in Chase’s office, it became clear to me that the term “normal” was perhaps well passed us and the rest of the Williams family.
