I took a slight pause. Ever since Chase and I had gotten married we had never sat right beside each other. All our meals usually happened with each of us sitting across from each other. My confusion must have been clearly written on my face because Chase shook his head. “I just thought that you would want to sit next to me too, but if that isn't something you want, then that’s okay. You can sit at your usual place, and I'll have some of the staff move your food back.” To go back to my usual seat was quite tempting but I knew how awkward that would make things. Also, having anyone move my food around wasn’t necessary. I moved my feet to the spot beside Chase and took my seat there. “Sitting here is fine. Don’t worry about it.” Grabbing my knife and fork with each hand, I began to dig in
