The Celebration Night: The Realization

Here comes the moment everybody, especially the debutante, has waited and been so busy preparing for. It is past seven o'clock in the evening, and the party is about to begin. Guests started coming and almost completed the list. But the one the debutante has been expecting the most is nowhere to be found at the party yet. Kenneth, with their parents, went to the room where his sister was preparing herself for the party. Kenneth knocked on the door and opened it. When they got inside the room where Ashley was, together with the people who were helping her prepare for the party, Kenneth and his parents seemed amazed and speechless because Ashley looked stunningly beautiful in her wine red tulle lace off-shoulder gown with her hair half-tied and decorated with a bunch of baby's breath. She's also wearing simple make-up that truly enhances her sweet beauty.

" Umm. Mom? Dad? I guess we're in the wrong room. " Kenneth confusedly said to his parents.

" Oh God! Look at my baby. She looks amazing, doesn't she? " Lucy said, approaching her daughter and giving her the warm embrace of a mother to her daughter.

Albert was left standing beside Kenneth, about centimeters away from where the debutante and her mother were, still speechless and a little emotional about realizing that his sweet little girl was now a grown up lady. Ashley looked in the direction of her father and asked for some hug from him. Some tears began to show in the corner of Albert's eyes as he walked towards his daughter to give her a hug.

" Oh God! I just can't believe what I'm seeing right now. You're now a lady, sweetheart. "Albert emotionally said to his daughter. He paused for a while, trying to hold his tears back." Where did you just take my sweet little girl? " Albert asked the people around them. He continues, " Oh God! Oh God! This can't be. " Ashley hugged her father even more.

Lucy caresses her husband's back, letting him know that she completely understands him at that very moment. " We now have a grown up lady, hon. " Lucy consoles her husband .

A few moments later, the organizer of the party went inside the room and asked the parents of the debutante for some confirmation regarding the flow of the program. So Albert and Lucy left Ashley and Kenneth to check on it. Ashley got the chance to talk to her brother about his best friend, who's not at the party yet.

" Can't really blame our parents for feeling that way. You're indeed a lady now. Gone are the days when we had you as this tiny little girl who loves following us anywhere we go. " Kenneth teasingly told his sister

" Cut the crap! Just give me a hug. " Ashley requested her brother. Kenneth granted his sister the hug she requested. Ashley continues, " I'm still me, your tiny little girl. It is just that I was being introduced to a different world now, but that doesn't mean your sweet little girl is gone, okay? Ashley told her brother.

" By the way, Ken, have you seen Ther? Is he here already? " She asked her brother.

" Umm. I don't think he's here yet, Ash. Kenneth replied to his sister.

" Oh, I see. But did you try contacting him already? I mean, can he make it tonight? " Ashley asked.

" I'm not sure, Ash. I've been contacting him, but he's not returning either of my calls or texts. " Kenneth replied to Ashley.

" And why is that? Did you two have a fight or what? " Ashley intriguingly asked her brother.

" I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. " Kenneth replied to his sister in a puzzle.

" Seriously, Ken? What happened between you two? " Ashley persistently asked Kenneth.

" Don't worry much about that, Ash. Those are just some minor misunderstandings between best friends. Nothing so serious. " Kenneth explained to his sister.

" You sure? " Ashley asked Kenneth.

" Yup. " Kenneth's brief reply

" So, you think that minor misunderstandings between best friends can't be the reason Ther won't make it here tonight? " Ashley asked her brother.

" I think so. " He replied.

" Ken. " Ashley's way of telling her brother that he'd better be sure.

" Whether he makes it or not tonight, your party will still go on, Ash. " Kenneth told his sister

" But Ken, I need him here. I want him here. He's also part of the program, remember? " Ashley insisted to her brother.

" Okay, okay, I promised he'd make it tonight. I'll do my very best for him to be here in a couple of minutes. Is that okay with you, my dear debutante? " Kenneth assured his sister.

" Sounds great, then! " She replied.

Not too long ago, Drake and Shane also came to the party. Both of them came to the party together because they have the same way home, so Drake decided to just pick Shane up on his way to the party. As soon as they arrived at the party, the first thing they did was look for their best friend, Ashley, who happened to be with her brother at the time.

Just like Ashley's family, both her best friends, Drake and Shane, were also amazed by her beauty that night.

" Oh My God! Is that you, Ash? Wow! You look stunning. " Shane complimented her best friend.

" Thanks, Shane. You also look stunning." Ashley replied to her best friend.

" Now that you two are finally here, I think I can leave my sister with you guys because I still have some important matters to do for the debutante's wish. " Kenneth excused himself to his sister's best friends.

" Don't worry Ken, we will very well take care of our debutante here, so you take care of her wish, okay? Shane said to Kenneth.

" Okay, I will. " Kenneth's last words to them.
