Humiliated In a Twinkle

"Please don't go, daddy! Please don't leave me here! I miss you!" Au said in her sleep with her eyes still shut. Brawn's heart started to return to its normal beat. He was relieved to find out that she held his hand because she was dreaming and thought he was her dad. He had thought she held his hand because she knew he kissed and was caressing her cheek. He exhaled and released her finger from around his hand. As he was removing her fingers from his left hand, she held his right fingers and said, "Daddy, please don't abandon me here. I am scared." After this, she started to cry softly and sob in her sleep. Brawn felt sorry for her when he saw her crying. He covered her palm with both of his and said, "I am not going anywhere without you," and pecked her on her cheek. He did not know why he said those words but that was the only thing that came to his head at that moment and like magic, she stopped crying. She became as calm as a dove and loosened her grip on Brawn's palm. Brawn decided to hold her palm in his left hand to prevent her from crying again. He yawned and rubbed his eyes with his right hand. It was very late in the night and he was feeling sleepy. He bent his right arm and rested it on Au's bed. Resting his forehead on his arm, he used it as a pillow and delivered himself to the warm hands of sleep. The next morning, Brawn was woken up by Au's scream. Out of shock, he quickly rose his head up to understand what was happening. As he rose his head up, his face was welcomed by a flying pillow that Au had thrown toward him. He quickly stood up in confusion. He could not understand why she threw a pillow at him. "What are you doing in my room by this time of the morning?!" Au screamed. "Ma'am, you asked me to –" "Gammas!" Au screamed and four of her gammas were in her room before she could finish saying the word. "I woke up and met him in my room. He was holding my hand! What is he doing in my room by this time?! . . ." "Ma'am, don't you remember –" "Take him out of here!" Au ordered. Brawn tried to explain himself but before he could say a thing he was on the shoulder of one of the gamma females. The gamma lifted him like a bag of wool and Brawn wondered if she actually knew that he was also a werewolf not some piece of rubbish. "Should we take him to the Alpha?" the leader of the lady gammas asked as Brawn was being carried out. "No. Just take him back to his room," Au instructed. "Yes, ma'am," the leader said bowing her head. She walked to the door and exited Au's room with the other gammas. Brawn was dangling on the shoulder of the gamma female who was carrying him. She carried him to the omegas' quarters and headed to his room while different omegas watched as she passed with him on her shoulder. Another gamma female walked by her side. She was there in case Brawn proved to be difficult. When they got to the door of Brawn's room, the gamma female threw him on the ground and left with the other gamma female. Brawn felt so embarrassed and humiliated as he picked himself up. He quickly opened his door and went into his room. Au took her bath and went to join her family for breakfast. She tried to recall over the meal, the last thing that happened the previous night. She wanted to know why Brawn was in her room that morning. When she was done with breakfast, she had fully recalled what happened. She remembered how she had slept off while he was singing the lullaby she requested for. She felt bad for throwing him out in such an embarrassing manner. She knew he would be upset with her so she thought of how she was going to handle the situation. While she was thinking, she had a knock on her door. She thought it might be Brawn so she ran and opened the door without asking who it was. She opened the door and saw Sparkle standing in front of her. Her countenance fell a bit in disappointment. Sparkle was carrying two bags in her hands – one on both hands. She had a big grin hanging on her face out of the excitement of the stories she had brought from the journey. When she noticed the obvious drop in Au's countenance, her grin froze. "Oh Sparkle, Welcome back," Au said trying to hide her disappointment. "You are not happy to see me, ma'am?" Sparkle said in a confused tone as she entered the room with the bags she came with. "What?! I am happy to see you. As a matter of fact, I missed you throughout yesterday," Au said and smiled. "But your face said the opposite when you saw me . . . like you were expecting to see someone else," Sparkle said accusingly. "Come on, Sparkle. How would I not be excited to see you?" Au said, holding her by the hand and moving her to a seat. "Now, enough of these accusations and fill me with the gist from the journey. Sparkle dropped the bags and said"Why not on our way to the oil factory? We will be late if –" "Who cares if we would be late? It's my factory, remember? Work would not be affected if we went late. The process would be going on fine till we come," Au said as she took her seat. "So tell me, how is my sister? How about her cute and charming little pups? Did my sister send any messages to me? What's up with the bag you brought? Tell me already! I can't wait any longer. The suspense is killing me!" she added excitedly. She rushed Sparkle with so many questions at once that Sparkle did not have the room to answer one before another one came in. "Wooow! Slow down, ma'am. Where should I begin in answering your questions? You have asked a lot at the same time," Sparkle said chuckling. She walked over to the bags she brought from the journey and opened them. There was a golden bracelet in the bag among some other items. Au picked it up and held it close to her face saying in admiration, "This is very beautiful!" "Beta Floret said you would react exactly this way. I can see that she was right," Sparkle said grinning. Meanwhile, Brawn sat in his room after taking his bath. He felt so embarrassed that he did not want to leave his room. He knew that a lot of omegas saw him while he was being carried to his room in an embarrassing way by the gamma female. He also knew that a lot of them would ask him what happened as soon as he stepped out of his room. He began to regret not leaving Au all alone the previous night. He was trying to be caring but that brought him only humiliation. He did not want to see Au again that day because he was angry with her for ordering the gammas to throw him out. After a while, Sparkle and Au had finished gisting. Sparkle began unpacking the bags she came with. Au asked her after seeming to be coming out of some thoughts, "Sparkle, what do you do when you offend someone and you want to make it up to the person?" "You start off by apologizing. . . . Why did you ask, ma'am?" Sparkle said eyeing Au. "Nothing, I just wanted to know," Au said. "Oh, okay. An apology is key, ma'am." "What else should be added to the apology?" "Probably some compensation or gifts if the offence was very grieving," Sparkle answered. She turned to Au and asked, looking at her suspiciously, "You are not used to all these. Why all these questions now? Did you offend anyone, ma'am?" "Yes, I think I did but it is nothing serious," Au said trying to discourage Sparkle from asking further questions. Sparkle smiled and said, "Is it because I accused you of not being happy to see me? I didn't mean it that way." "I know you didn't. I was talking about you though. This one is a bit different," Au said as she stood up. She walked over to her bed and pulled out Brawn's book from underneath. "I will be back soon. Get the things ready for work," she said as she left the room. Au left the pack building and walked straight to the omegas quarters. As she got closer to the omegas quarters, her pace reduced. She was nervous as she did not know how she was not going to start her apology when she got to Brawn. She had never apologized to an omega for any of her actions in the time past so it was really unusual for her. She tried to put together some words in her head as she walked into the omegas quarters but it was difficult for her to come up with anything. She decided that she was going to bribe him with his book and if he did not accept her apology, she would threaten him with all the allegations she had against him. She got to his door and adjusted herself into a more confident manner. She knocked at the door and waited for him to reply.
