CHAPTER 24 - ENGAGMENT PARTY - AIDEN'S POV

1933 Words
The first two weeks after my girls moved into my wing of the castle, was harder than I thought it would be. Ava was relentless, knocking on the dividing door at night, claiming she was cold and needed help with the fire. However, when I went to help, she'd be standing there in a very revealing slip, and try to seduce me. It was hard enough knowing they were right there, just on the other side of the door, sleeping, and most liking in the same bed. It had been so long since I'd f*cked, and my mood was definitely volatile, and I was quick to lose my temper, but luckily, the wedding was now only three weeks away... Tonight was our engagement party, and the hall was buzzing with excitement. I stood at the entrance, my heart pounding in my chest with excitement. The air was thick with the scent of roasted meats, beer and sweet pastries. Guests, nobles from every corner of my Kingdom, and some of my allies mingled in their finest attire. When I smelt their scents, I turned and saw Averly and Casidy walking towards me with Nanny. They looked stunning in their matching gowns. Only Ava's was a soft pink, while Casey's was forest green. ''You look beautiful,'' I told them as I reached out and touched their cheeks. ''Thank you.'' Ava smiled. ''You look good too,'' Casey blushed as she looked me over. I was only wearing all black with a dark red and black cloak, and my crown, but I was thrilled she thought I looked good. After we were announced by one of the guards, we walked in, hand in hand, to cheers and excited murmurs. As we walked through the crowd, I squeezed Casey's hand in comfort, knowing she hated being the center of attention, while Ava waved and chatted happily with her adoring audience, completely in her element. ''Thank you all for coming,'' I announced to the crowd as I stood on the raised platform where our table was placed. ''It brings me great joy to share this night with you all. I have waited a very long time for this moment.'' I smiled at my girls, ''I am very blessed to be marrying these beautiful women in a few weeks time, and the Kingdom will finally have a Queen again, or rather, two Queens. Please enjoy the evening, drink, eat, and dance, and we will try to speak with everyone. Thank you again for sharing our joy.'' Everyone clapped again, and the music began softly in the background, and I turned to my mates, ''So?'' I held out my hand, ''Who wants to dance first?'' Casey quickly pushed her twin forward, sacrificing her, and I laughed, and Ava slapped her sister's arm, ''Coward.'' ''Let's go,'' I smiled and took her to the dance floor, while Casey went to talk with one of the girls she knew, standing to the side of the dance floor. As I twirled my girls effortlessly around the dance floor, the others joined us, and I looked down into Ava's eyes. ''It's not too late to reject me,'' I smirked at her. ''You could still run.'' ''I don't run,'' She shot back, and I laughed, ''Besides, I already love you.'' ''I'm very lucky.'' ''I know you are.'' She winked, and I laughed again, dipped her, and when I pulled her up, I kissed her forehead. While we danced, I listened to the light bantering of the guests, their laughter was infectious. My heart swelled with pride when I heard a few of the men talking about how beautiful my mates were, and that I had chosen well, but they were not just beautiful, they were strong and wise. I felt lucky to be marrying them. Once the music died, I kissed Ava's hands and reached for Casey who was talking to Ryker and his mate. She groaned, but Ryker gently pushed her forward, much to her annoyance, but I just laughed, and took her hand, pulling her into my arms. ''Once I'm Queen, I'm banning all dancing,'' She whispered. ''As you wish,'' I kissed her cheek and began the dance. While we danced, I saw my brother talking to the Lycan King, Blaze, who came for the party. He was watching Casey with a strange expression, but the King was asking my brother about the collar, so I figured he was just annoyed at my mate for why he was wearing it. As the night pressed on, and the drinks began to flow, we paused to eat, but my brother, who was sitting at our table, stood up and tapped his glass, hushing the crowd. ''What are you doing?'' I linked him, but he ignored me. ''Ladies and Gentlemen,'' He held up his hand, ''I am Prince Nolan, and as it is my dear brothers and Kings, engagement party, I thought we could make things a little more interesting while we eat!'' He shouted, drawing the attention of the crowd. I could feel my stomach drop. What was he planning? ''How about a little game? Whoever can impress the future Queens with their skills will win a prize I have organized.'' The guests murmured, a mix of curiosity and apprehension. I shot him a glare. ''This is not the time for games, brother,'' But he was already waving his hands, rallying the crowd. At first, I was frustrated. I didn't want this night to turn into a circus. But as the games of skill began, I noticed something surprising. My girls seemed excited, laughing and clapping with the crowd, though I suspected Casey just enjoyed something that didn't involve her dancing. The guests showcased their skills in archery, dancing, and even magic skills from the Supreme Galandria who was attending. The crowd loved it. I found myself smiling despite my annoyance at Nolan. Once he'd declared his winner, and gifted them some golden carvings, he stepped forward again, and announced he too had a little gift for the engagement party. ''I will however, require an assistant,'' He said as he reached for Casey, who glared at his hand in disgust, and I hid my smile behind my glass of wine. ''Oh... I think the Luna is a little shy.'' He taunted her, knowing as I did, that this would make her submit. She hated being called out. She slapped his hand away and stood up, as the crowd laughed and clapped. I watched them move to the center of the room, all eyes fixed on them, and my brother held up his hand. ''For the non Dragon's in the room,'' He said loudly, ''This beautiful young lady is a hatchling. She has not shifted yet, and there for, has not seen her Dragon form. I however, have spent some time in the Witch realm and have a little spell I can perform to show my Luna, what she will look like.'' I sat my glass down and leaned forward, eager to see, but also worried that someone was going to use a spell on my girl, though I knew my brother wasn't stupid enough to try and hurt her, especially not in a room full of guards. Nolan pulled out a golden goblet and poured some glowing liquid inside, ''I will need a drop of your blood.'' He added, and pulled out a pin. I growled and the crowds eyes shot to me, but Nolan laughed, ''It's just a tiny prick, nothing more.'' Casey looked at me for a moment before exhaling and holding up her hand. I gripped the table as he pieced her finger, but she didn't seem like it hurt too much, so I relaxed. My brother then held up the cup, and we watched as the blood dripped in. ''Now you drink.'' He held up the goblet, and I frowned. Casey took it and looked at me again, but I smiled. He wouldn't dare try and poison her, and if he did, I'd skin him alive. Casidy drank the contents and my brother whispered some words I didn't understand, and before I knew it, there was a light glowing coming off my mate's skin. It expanded like a ghostly figure and continued to grow into a large beautiful red Dragon and everyone cheered and clapped. I stood up and walked over to my mate. There had never been a red Dragon, not ever, and she was beautiful. ''Wow, Casey, you look amazing!'' Ava rushed over to her sister who was looking up at her Dragon form, and then turned to Nolan, ''Can you show me mine now?'' ''Sorry, Luna, but I only had enough of the potion for one,'' He told her, as Casey's Dragon began to fade. ''Don't worry, you'll see your Dragon soon,'' I kissed her cheek, as Casey turned to Nolan and smiled. ''Thank you, Prince Nolan.'' She smiled at my brother. ''You're welcome,'' He smiled, ''Perhaps you could forgive me now?'' She frowned, but shrugged, ''We'll see.'' I smiled and took my girls back to finish our meals, but Casey seemed a lot happier than she'd been, and even answered Nolan now when he spoke to her. As the party carried on, we danced more, surrounded by our guests, and mingled with the others, but I noticed the girls starting to tire, so I had the party wrapped up, and I walked them home. Ava relieved the night excitedly, while Casey yawned and nodded whenever Ava would address her. Once we were in the girl's bedroom, Casey immediately began removing all the jewelry she was wearing, while Ava kicked off her shoes. ''Did you have fun?'' ''I had the best time!'' Ava said happily and hugged me, ''Thank you.'' ''You're welcome.'' I leaned down and kissed her, but she wound her arms around my neck and held me in place, but finally I pulled back. ''Go bathe and warm up, and go straight to bed,'' I ordered, but to my surprise, Casey spun around in her seat and said. ''Can't you stay a little longer?'' I smiled and looked at her as Ava said, ''Stay and do what?'' I laughed and pulled her into a hug, with her back against my chest, ''Behave.'' ''What if we don't want to behave?'' Casey got up and walked over to me. What had gotten into her? ''You know we can't do anything.'' I reminded her, but she touched my arms, and leaned over to kiss her twin. I froze as I looked down at them, ''Stop.'' ''Are you jealous, my King?'' Casey asked as she looked into my eyes. Yes! ''We don't have to make love, but... can't we do other things?'' ''I can't. I won't be able to stop.'' ''I can though, and I'll tell you to stop.'' Casey said, before kissing Ava again, turning me on. I don't know if it was the alcohol or just my own weakness, but I was tired of refusing my own desires and decided to give in, hoping that Casey really would stop me if I lost control. I grabbed Casey's chin and pulled her from her sister, and kissed her, pressing my tongue against hers, and sucking on her lip, before I reached down and moved my hands up the inside of their dresses, feeling up their inner legs, and smiling as they shivered. ''Should I stop? Last chance.'' I warned as I reached their underwear, but Ava shook her head. ''No, please don't stop!'' She pleaded, ''Touch me.'' ''Casey?'' ''Don't stop, not yet.'' She said, her eyes filled with excitement and nerves.
