The Luna of my Heart

Fortieth Celebration

As I slowly wake up, something feels different. Within me, my heart is full, I feel stronger than ever before. I feel whole. I breathe in deeply, and smell strawberries and cream and feel a tickle on my chest, and something over my stomach. 

Slowly opening my eyes, I see that my beautiful mate is lying intertwined with me and the happiness and fulfilment of last night came back to me. I take her in, her long lashes lying on her cheeks with her beautiful strawberry lips inviting a kiss. A lock of her hair is over her face and as she breathes, the hair fluffs out. 

My hand moves to her cheek, gently stroking her silky soft skin with one finger, so as not to wake her. This happiness that fills me is amazing. I never thought that I would feel this way, true happiness is being right here.

She stirs slowly, stretching as she moves, letting me see her perfect breasts and her beautiful thighs. As she turns, I see her stomach, so flat and tight. I wonder whether last night has made her pregnant with my pup. I cannot wait to find out, my smile lights up the room and she smiles in return.

"Good morning, my love." she says, "Happy Birthday!" and she moves to kiss me, pressing her body tightly against mine in the process, making me go hard. Her breasts feel so good against my side and I turn, wanting to make love to her again, when we are interrupted by a knock on the door downstairs. 

"To be continued..." I say with my wicked smile getting up and putting on tracksuit pants. 

I walk down to the door and open it.

"Morning Bear, " Alpha Rafael says. 

"Morning Brother," I reply, "How are you this morning?"

Alpha chuckles, "It's past noon, Bear!" he says. With a shocked look on my face, I blush. 

"I am glad to see that your mate is clearly taking good care of you!" he says loudly, probably so that she can hear from upstairs. "I was wondering if you were wanting to have your usual Birthday Celebration today?" he asks. 

"Thank you, Alpha Rafael. This would give everyone the opportunity to meet Vixen and for me to get to know her pups." I reply.

"I think that is a wonderful idea," Vixen says from behind me, "Then the pups can also see their rooms and choose who wants to have which room." 

She looks amazing, her hair is perfect, she looks as though she has spent hours getting ready, though I know for a fact she doesn't even have make-up on right now. I am amazed at how lucky I am to have such a beautiful mate, and even after she has had three pups, she looks perfect. 

I hear Alpha Rafael chuckle again, "I think that he didn't hear a word of what you just said." 

"That's alright, Alpha." she says, "I have a feeling that he was simply being grateful for our intertwined destiny."

"I am. You're perfect." I say, taking her hand and kissing her palm. "I would love to have my normal celebration today, but first we need to get the pups. I want to meet them and help them to choose their rooms. Then we can go shopping for anything they might need tomorrow. " 

"Oh, Logan, that would be wonderful!" she exclaims. "And you need to meet Milia too! She is like family to me, as I took her in after her parents were killed in the same raid, five years ago." she ads. "She has not found her mate either. So maybe she will find him within this pack, today."

We get dressed, and go to the tent where the pups and Milia had slept the previous night. Only to find that the girls were not there. "Where could they be?" Vixen asked. 

I chuckle and say, "The only place that they could be right now is at the pool. The weather is perfect for it and if they had heard that, that is where my birthday celebration is going to be, then they have gone to join in the festivities."

"Let's go and see, then." Vixen says. 

As we get to the pool, I see a lot of the pack is here already. Mostly those that have small kids, the younger pups usually come along later, so that they can be here for the rest of my birthday celebration and the meal. 

As I am lookin for pups I don't know, I see Cael, one of my troops. He usually is one of the guys that only shows up later. I see that he is scowling and shooting glances to his right, to an area across the pool. I look in that direction and see three pups with an older she-wolf that I don't know. So, this must be Milia and my mates pups. As I look back to Cael, I see he is almost furious and I cannot understand why.

Looking back to see the pups, I notice that the spot where they were is empty. Darting my eyes around the pool in a flat panic, "They were just there! Right over there, where did they go!?" I ask in a panicked voice.

I hear a peal of laughter, "They are right here, love." Vixen says. Looking down, I see all four of them standing right by Vixen. They had moved so fast. 

The girls were jumping up and down with excitement. "Hi, girls!" I say shyly, waving down.

Vixen had clearly told them that we were mates, as I could hear the little pups squeaking with glee!

"Our new daddy!" squeaked Mia

"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!" Lily said.

"Yay!!! A new Daddy!!!" Sierra screamed.

Over and over! It made me so happy to know that they were excited. I kneeled and opened my arms. They ran into them and I have them a good, long hug. This feeling was amazing, I never thought that I could feel this type of love, for so many people, so soon. 

"Logan, this is Milia." Vixen says.

"I'm pleased to meet you, Milia." I say, giving her a hug too. As I look over her head while giving her a hug, I see Cael looking at me. If looks could kill, something was definitely up and if my gut feeling was right, more than one of the pack has met their mate recently and Cael doesn't look happy about it at all. 

I take Mia and put her on my shoulders and take Lily and Sierra's hands and Vixen hooks her arm through Milia's and we start walking towards the house. I see Milia and Vixen lagging behind and talking sadly, so keep the girls happy and distracted, while they are talking.

"I found my mate." Milia says sadly, "It doesn't seem as though he wants me, as I was walking towards him, he shook his head and looked at me angrily. I don't know what to do!" she cries softly.

"Logan will fix it, I'm sure, honey." Vixen says

As I'm walking with the girls, I hear what they are saying, and it infuriates me to no end. How could Cael not want Milia for a mate. She is beautiful and looks as though she will bear good pups. 

By the time we got to the house, I could see that Milia was feeling a little better. Vixen had heartened her, by saying that I will fix everything. Cael was one of the troops that were the most stubborn. They were a whole group, they trained well and listened mostly, but I knew that he was part of the ones in the pack that would have loved to be in a contest for the place of Gamma. I just hoped that I would be able to do something for both of them, they were so young, they could have so much happiness.

"My pups, Milia, welcome to your new home!" I say, showing them the house. "Now, we get to go inside and choose who sleeps in which room." 

"Yay!!" They all scream together as we enter the house. 

I show them where the rooms are that they can choose from, and go into each one and the pups immediately choose the rooms they like. Mia and Lily like to share and Sierra has chosen hers. Milia looks uncertain, suddenly standing to one side.

"Milia," I say gently, "This is new and confusing for you, but this is your home, until we can sort out, the other thing."

"Oh, I didn't think that you had heard, I'm so embarrassed." she whispers. 

"We are family now, and this is not something you should be embarrassed about. You did nothing wrong. I will talk to Cael, he will come around. You just keep being you." I say. "Which room do you want to have?"

I see Vixen standing in the doorway to one of the rooms, smiling at me. My heart is full to bursting, with so many wonderful people in my new family.

"Now that everyone has a room of their own, we will go and celebrate my birthday with a wonderful meal and visiting, so you all can get to know the rest of the pack." I announce. 

I motion for Vixen to walk with the girls and slow down to speak to Milia. "Now, I'm not going to be able to be with you all the time, I know that will push Cael to hate me and that will make it even more difficult to get him to accept you as his mate. He is very confused right now. He might think that the pups were yours, even though, if he were thinking clearly, he would realize you are way too young to have pups so old yet." I say with a smile. 

"It's okay, I will stay with the girls, or maybe he will not be there?" she says hopefully.

"Unfortunately, all the troops have got to be there. Whether they like me or not." I say, "And sadly, Cael and some of the other troops are not too fond of me, even more so since I have found Vixen, as they were hoping to become Gamma in a contest." 

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Everyone shouted.

I had not realized that we had walked so far while I was talking to Milia. Fortunately, Vixen had slowed down, so that it did not look like we were walking and talking alone. 

"Thanks to everyone for my birthday wishes! I would like to introduce you to my new family. My mate, Vixen and her pups, Mia, Lily and Sierra. Milia became part of Vixens family five years ago and will stay with us too!" I shout so everyone can hear me.

"Time to eat!"
