James' POV As soon as Brenda left the day of the attack, I sent out scouts to figure out what had happened. It wasn't a random chance that the cafe where Amelia went was the one to be attacked like it was. Someone was after my mate, and I needed to know who. After a week of not figuring out who was out to get Amelia, I called Stephen. Stephen was my beta and top enforcer. He had been settling some minor pack's issues down in Texas.
