The rest of the week stretches on without incident, though my encounter with Vance left me cautious – if I can call it an encounter. Harlan seems personally offended that I consider Vance a threat at all. "What does he matter to us? He can't prove a thing." He said when I mentioned it earlier. I don't argue. He can't prove anything, but seeing the two of us scramble out of the same car at 8:30 in the morning isn't ideal for the concealment of what Harlan and I are up to. But at least Harlan has a point – I could have been doing a million other things that would have required me to be in the same car. Maybe it was on his way, so Harlan had picked me up from my dorm so I wouldn't have had to walk all the way to his office. Maybe we'd met for a meeting at the coffee shop to review assign
