"I am going to give her a call tomorrow," Alicia said. Once she was done saying that, she safely kept the card back into her handbag. She dried her body and selected a pajama set and put it on.
Alicia finally exited her room and walked into the corridor. She saw her mother climbing upstairs, and she paused and asked her, "Mom, is there still any food left in the kitchen? I am exhausted and hungry."
Lady Jennifer looked at her daughter with pity and replied, "Yes. Do you want to go downstairs and get it, or should I send for Clara to bring it for you?"
"I think Clara should better bring it. I don't want to come across Damian. Why are you not challenging him? Is that how he would force his way into our lives just because Dad owes him money? What happened to giving us time to pay him back
