Chapter 13 Tina no longer went to church. It was not that she no longer believed, on the contrary, she believed very strongly it was merely that the Church seemed just another institution. There was nothing which made it unique; it paid taxes like other institutions, the priests and ministers married and divorced at will, the church services were simple and without elaborate ceremony. Most people welcomed this change.
