Chapter 40. New voice

It’s a little after nine the day after our birthday and I am taking Andel somewhere where no one would be for the time being. I had asked Matt for a place and he suggested the flower garden not too far from the pack house. Surprisingly it looks better than I imagine. it’s big, almost like a park with benches a water fountain and a lot of different flowers.

This place is dream like or something you would see in a fairytale movie. I led Andel to a beach closet to the fountain.

“ I’m confused..why did you bring me all the way here. Because if it’s to talk I’ll be so mad. I have a mate to get to.” He said as we sat down with a silly smile and dreamy eyes.

“ ugh. She’s working, let her breathe Andel geez.”

“ and I could’ve been there with her instead of here.”

“ really delly?. I just dragged you from there. literally.”

“ well I can’t help it yolan.”

“ Trust me, I know.” I smile a little smile at him Before he turned away with guilt in his eyes.

“ about that. I’m really sorry for how I reacted. I had no idea, the bond can have this much effect and how you must have felt for the past.. two years basically..”

“ it’s okay Andel. If I were you I would’ve been mad at me too and I am.. for still getting involved with Gael knowing I’m mated to evon and even more because I knew what he went through.”

He looks at me with sadness shown on his face

“ I just hope Gael would be okay..” I said as the tears just fell. He wrapped me in a tight embrace telling me everything would be okay.

“Just, try and make things work with evon. I think for right now you and Gael shouldn’t see each other take some time to yourself but don’t worry, I’ll check up on Gael.” He pats me on my shoulder after breaking the hug.

“Thanks.” I said as i wiped my face taking a deep breath to calm down.

“ okay..focus on the water try to imagine what shape you would want it to take.”

I told him when he starts bursting out with laughs. I looked at him with a frown.

“ I am serious Andel.”

“ how the h**l do you expect me to do that. You think I have some kind of magical powers or something?.” He said while clutching his stomach.

I got up and walked about four feet away then lifted some water and splashed it onto him. He shrieks jumping from his spot and looking at the fountain and me.

“Yes you do.” I chuckled.

“How..” he was about to say something else when I see panic in his face.

“ yolan I have to go.” He turned to walk away when I made vines shoot from the ground wrapping around his feet holding him into place.

He looks at his feet glued to the floor by the vines then back at me.

“What happened, did I scare you.” I asked chucking softly.

“No, no. Yolan. I had a bad feeling just now like something is going to happen. I can’t explain it..it’s like I was panicking.” His eyes are filled with emotion he genuinely looks scared so I released him.

He immediately walked off then started running and so I followed him.

Andel’s POV

I felt this panic rush through me. But why was I scared, it can’t be because of my sister. I knew she wasn’t normal. No, it can’t be her. After telling yolanda how I felt and she released me I started walking to go home when I felt another presence.

“ go to mate. She needs us.” A voice in my head says, and it’s not one I’ve heard when whatever it was was happening to me. This is a new one. I can’t even imagine what Yolanda must have gone through as a child with these voices in her head. This is too much for me as old as I am. To think mom and dad almost thought she was crazy or sickly, going to doctors and psychiatrists to know what’s wrong with her. No wonder they found nothing.

I immediately started running. I took the back road to get to the shop quicker. Yolanda was close behind me the whole way and I bet she doesn’t even know why she’s running.

Yanking the door open the scene that my eyes caught wasn’t one I or any man would be thrilled about.

Auri was holding onto Angie’s hand in a deathly grip backing her against the wall. What the h**l is wrong with this girl.

I rush towards them pulling auri by the back of her neck slamming her to the wall. The next thing I knew was my fist connecting with the wall barely an inch from her face.

“ I’m not the type to beat the s**t out of a female. Don’t make me consider you an option. When you see her, play blind or walk the other way.” I growled in a menacing voice I didn’t even expect from myself. I didn’t sound like myself, this voice is more guttural.

“ oh, you remembered that I like it rough.” She murmured l*****g her lips. Subconsciously I looked over to Angie and all I see is hurt. The shock in her face and tears in her eyes are killing me right now. Before I even said anything she blinked a couple times to fight back the tears and rushed off to the back where the storage room was then I saw Yolanda ran after her.

I grabbed auri by her neck intending to choke her when she moaned. She is truly psycho.

I pulled and slammed her back to the wall before she said anything. The impact from the blow made her winced in pain holding her head.

“ let this be a warning.” I growled lowly.

“I am an alpha’s heir you..” I cut her off before she even finished what she wanted to say.

“ I AM ALSO AN ALPHA’S HEIR.” I roared, and I can tell by the look on her face and her increasing heartbeat that she was scared now.

“ I told you once,I don’t care who you are. you’ll get worse if you continue messing with my mate..or my sister” after saying that is when I realized I was choking her. her face pink with a vain popping up on her forehead. I quickly released her and stepped back shocked at what I did as she grabbed her throat gasping for air. I looked around the diner but no one was here, strange.

I took a glance at her before going to look for Angie and Yolanda. I heard Angie sobbing and Yolanda trying to comfort her.

“ come on Angie, he’s already yours and he’s head over heels for you I know that for a fact. You don’t need to worry about her she’s just miserable and trying to get everyone else to be miserable like her. Stop crying, okay. If it’ll make you feel better I’ll kick his butt if he even think about another girl.” I rolled my eyes at her last statement then I heard them giggling.

I pushed the door open and they both look up at me.

“ Angie,I am so sorry you had to learn it that way. I was actually planning to tell you but..”

“ it’s okay.. it was before me anyway. And if not it was my fault because I knew we were mates and said nothing. ” She sniffed stretching her hand towards me.

“No. don’t say that, it’s not your fault. It was mine I’m the one who was being reckless. You couldn’t have known I would’ve actually..”

“How did you know Angie.” Yolanda shut me up with her question.

Annoyed I answered her question.“ she brought some stuff to the pack house and we saw each other that night.”

“Yea but how? I mean you guys met at the shop. Did you know then too.” She asked with curiosity as Angie giggled.

I rubbed my hand down my face “ no, Yolanda. She wasn’t eighteen yet. But after, yes she did. she’s older than we are.”

I look at her annoyed that she’s even wanting to know about this now when she knows I’m obviously trying to explain the situation to Angie after what just happened.

She smirked “ oh.. okay. So you got a sugar mama” we cracked up before Angie said “ I’m not that old, It’s just a year and eleven months

“So two years” Yolanda laughs “ let’s get out of here. ”

“ you go ahead yolan, I need to talk to Angie.”

“ okay then. And remember we have to pick the stuff up for dad tomorrow .. at the flower shop.” She wink as she said the flower shop

I looked at her confused before realizing what she’s talking about and nodded.

“ did auri do that because no one was here?.” I questioned Angie. She shook her head before answering. I sat down and lifted her onto my legs so she’s sitting cross way.

“ she paid for their meals and told them she wanted to dine alone and Mae is out running some errands.” She said not looking at me and I nodded. I can see the hurt in her face just talking about the situation so I didn’t question her further.i wonder if the alpha or Luna knows what she’s doing in their pack.

“I met her the day before I met you”

“ so when did you..”

“.. the same day. I can’t remember but I think she had said something about being mad at her boyfriend.”I told her and she nodded

“So she used you.” she said with a light chuckle

“ mmm... If she wasn’t clingy after then yea I’d say she did.” She nodded. She still hadn’t made eye contact with me since. She’s fidgeting with her fingers while a frown make it’s way onto her face.

I gently turned her face towards me.

“ hey, what’s wrong.”

“ I know it’s not your fault but I just wish I knew before, I think it would’ve hurt less or not at all.”

I can feel her hurt pushing through the bond as she said that, and because we marked each other last night I can feel everything. I never knew things would be this intense with the mate bond and marking and all that. When our parents well mostly mom would talk to us about being a wolf I just thought she was yapping and exaggerating stuff but now I know she wasn’t.

I pulled her into a hug kissing the side of her face when she turn and gently pressed her lips against mine.

She turned around straddling me without breaking the kiss and then she did this little roll with her hips, ohh man I’m loosing it.

“Babe” I tried to pull away but she just held my face in place.

“We can’t do it here.” I told her in between kissing.

“ no one’s here..let’s just.. do it. I’ll hear if someone comes in.” I was hesitant before she started moving my pants to free what she wanted. I laughed at seeing her eager so I help her get to it and let her do as she please.
